Departure from: Lisbon (your city center hotel).
It is one of the oldest and sunny capitals of Europe that offers a unique natural and historical setting, which everyone conquers, by tradition and modernity.
Lisbon is one of the oldest European capitals, with an unique historical landscape.
The Tejo River keeps us company throughout the visit of the coastal area.
Every day this city sees hundreds of people walking up and down its narrow streets crowded with tourists from all over the world, under a great blue sky.
Lisbon is said to have a very special light of its own, some even risk to say it has no match in the world.
We find typical quartiers like Alfama, one of the best places to look for if you’re interested in get in touch with the portuguese tradicional music, Fado.
Downtown, we have Rossio Square, with its beautiful train Station and multicultural surroundings. As the city was built on top of hills, seven to be precise, there are several belvederers on the highest points which offers us breathtaking views over the city. St. George’s Castle stands out from, as well as the ''Cacilheiros'' on its crossing to the south bank, the April 25th bridge – known before as Salazar Bridge – the Carmo convent, the quarter Bairro Alto, also a Fado place, the Park Eduardo VII, Liberty’s Avenue, among plenty others. Leaving the center of the city and moving further to our right, we find Belém, a hymn to the great Portuguese Discovery Era.
Monuments such as Jerónimos Monestary, the Belém Tower, two jewels of the Manueline period and also a Word Heritage of UNESCO. You can’t leave Belém without visiting the famous confectionery of Pastéis de Belém, which is known to keep the original recipe of these marvellous custard pies since 1837, when it first opened to public.
Alongside the old city, with a very rich heritage, it is also a modern city that has been renewed in new cultural and leisure proposals, being a good example, the new neighborhood of the Park of Nations, built in the place where the 1998 world exhibition took place.
Lisbon will leave a unique feeling of the Portuguese language, ''Saudade''.
